Book Half Term Events Here – Magic of Science and The Big Draw

Busy Parents Network have TWO fantastic events planned for this October half term.

The Magic of Science at Rowheath Pavilion, takes place on Tuesday 27 October 10am-2pm.


This live educational show by charismatic scientist and magician Dr Matt Pritchard, features lots of hands-on science activities and experiments for children to enjoy. Perfect for 5 to 12-year-olds but younger siblings are welcome. Tickets are £3 per person (Under-4s go free). Tickets available in person at the Bournville Community Hub, and online at:


The Big Draw at the Barber Institute of Fine Arts, University of Birmingham, takes place on Saturday October 24.

This event, aimed at 5 to 12-year-olds, will be led by author illustrator James Mayhew, who wrote the Katie books. With acclaimed Russian pianist playing Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition live on stage, James will be translating the music back into pictures, whilst the children sketch along too (they will be given their own sketchbooks).  Simon James (author of the brilliantly funny Baby Brains and Rex). This is completely free, but you will need tickets to attend.
